A presidential executive order signed in August 2025 tasks Donald J. Trump and Pete Hegseth with creating a standing National Guard ‘quick reaction force’ available for rapid nationwide deployment in dystopian nod to Gilead from The Handmaid’s Tale

This is as astonishing for me to write as it is for you to read, and you really need to pay attention to what going down because it will be a matter of life and death to you in the not too distant future. First President Trump created the Department of War, then he created the Secretary of War, now the two of them are going to do what we always thought would be accomplished by Barack Obama. They are creating a state within the state that will call all the shots when the current system of government we have now is collapsed. They are preparing for a civil war that doesn’t exist – yet.

In August 2025, the Department of War formally established what it calls a ‘Quick Reaction Force’ — National Guard soldiers from every state placed on permanent standby for “rapid domestic deployment.” Their mission: respond to civil unrest, riots, and disturbances within the homeland. According to internal memos and recent briefings, some 23,500 troops are being trained in riot-control tactics — shields, batons, pepper spray, Tasers — the full kit of crowd-control warfare. Each state will maintain a contingent of roughly 500 troops, all under federal oversight. Why are they, why is Trump doing this?

Officials claim it’s about preparedness, but history tells another story. Whenever the sword of government turns inward, the Republic trembles, and our Republic is being shaken to its very core. America’s Founders warned against standing armies on domestic soil. Now the Department of War openly boasts of a “nationwide readiness force.” that is right at home in the pages of the The Handmaid’s Tale and Gilead. Why is Trump training troops for civil unrest when no such unrest exists? Why are top Trump officials leaving their private homes and moving into military residences? Why is Trump restarting nuclear weapons testing for the first time in 30 years? If you can’t answer these questions, you’re in trouble. If you think Gilead is just fiction, think again. The Handmaid’s Tale envisioned a theocratic police state, Gilead, where fear justified absolute control. What began as emergency law soon became daily law. That’s the same language being used now — “safety,” “stability,” “rapid response.” Behind the phrases lies the same spirit: control masquerading as compassion. Just as Gilead’s rulers used Scripture to enforce submission, America’s new domestic army invokes security to achieve the same end. Liberty erodes not with a shout, but with a signature. And the Department of War just signed a big one.

All of this fits perfectly with the rising tide of world systems described in Revelation 13. Before the Beast rules globally, nations must first normalize control, that’s happening right now.

Trump’s ‘Quick Reaction Force’ accomplishes three main things:

• Centralized authority — governors bypassed, states federalized.
• Permanent readiness — troops waiting for the next “crisis.”
• Psychological conditioning — Americans told to accept soldiers in their streets as “normal.”

The Department of War’s “quick reaction force” is not so much a military measure as it is a moral mirror reflecting how far we’ve drifted. The machinery of control is humming to life. The only question is how long before it runs at full power. And when it does, the only real refuge will not be in a Constitution or a court — it will be in that blessed hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will soon call His Church out before the start of the time of Jacob’s trouble. Everything you see happening now is preparing for that event. Christian, you better rouse yourself from your spiritual slumber and start paying attention to what is actually happening, because it’s game on. If you’re planning on getting something done for the Lord, now’s the time. Tick, tock, goes the end times clock.
