US President Donald Trump said countries expressed interest in joining the Abraham Accords following the US military strikes on Iran in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News on Sunday.

Trump began by highlighting the growing interest in the Abraham Accords, saying, “A number of countries are interested in joining the Abraham Accords.” When asked if more countries had expressed interest in joining following the strikes, Trump said, “I think we’re gonna start loading [the countries] up [into the accords], because Iran was the primary problem.”

He continued to discuss the results of the US’s strikes and future policy against Iran.

 “Every missile we launched at Iran hit its target,” he said, adding, “Iran didn’t transfer uranium from the facilities before our strikes.”

“I wouldn’t allow Iran to enrich uranium.” Trump also stated, “Iran is not currently considering returning to its nuclear project.”

Increased openness to relations with Syria 

When asked if Syria could possibly join the Abraham Accords, he said, “Well, I don’t know, but I lifted the sanctions at the request of some of the countries in the area that are friends of ours.”

Finally, Trump addressed the leaks to CNN and The New York Times, regarding intelligence assessments that stated that US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities weren’t 100% effective, saying, “Those who leaked intelligence about our attacks on Iran should be prosecuted,” and added, “Our attacks were a huge success, I would welcome the pilots who bombed Iran at the White House.”
