A Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas became the scene of a shocking and violent assault, raising concerns about targeted aggression against the electric vehicle giant.

Multiple news outlets, including NBC News, Hindustan Times, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal, reported that an individual armed with Molotov cocktails and a firearm attacked the facility, setting Tesla vehicles ablaze and firing shots in what authorities have described as a deliberate act.

According to NBC News, the assailant, dressed in all black, launched the attack early Tuesday at the Tesla location on 6260 Badura Ave.

Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) stated, “This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility,” emphasizing that the suspect “used what appeared to be Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct his attack.”

At least five Tesla vehicles sustained damage, with two fully engulfed in flames and three others struck by gunfire—evidenced by at least three rounds fired into the cars.

An un-ignited Molotov cocktail was also recovered from inside one of the vehicles, offering a chilling glimpse into the premeditated nature of the assault.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal provided further details, noting that the suspect remained at large as of Tuesday afternoon. Authorities reported graffiti reading “resist” spray-painted at the scene, hinting at a possible ideological motive.

The outlet quoted Koren’s press conference at LVMPD headquarters, where he suggested the incident bore “some of the hallmarks” of terrorism, though no definitive classification has been confirmed.

The police and federal agencies, including the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), are now collaborating to investigate this attack and determine whether it connects to similar incidents reported elsewhere.

Hindustan Times highlighted Elon Musk’s reaction to the event, describing the Tesla CEO as “frustrated” by the violence directed at his company’s assets.

These incidents have coincided with Musk’s increasing political influence, notably his advisory role in the White House, which some speculate may be fueling backlash.

Meanwhile, a separate event in South Carolina, detailed in posts on X, involved a masked individual setting Tesla charging stations ablaze with Molotov cocktails while spray-painting messages like “F*** Trump” and “long live Ukraine,” further complicating the narrative around these attacks.

The FBI’s Kansas City office, as cited by NBC News, confirmed it is coordinating with local and federal partners to investigate potential links between these events.

“Similar incidents have occurred in several states,” the agency noted, signaling a broader effort to uncover whether these acts stem from coordinated efforts or isolated grievances.
