Ukraine was braced for brutal new Russian attacks after he dropped his new Oreshnik hypersonic missile on Dnipro yesterday – and there was a warning the UK could be next
A chilling warning suggests that Vladimir Putin’s new Oreshnik hypersonic missile could strike Britain in a mere 20 minutes. Ukraine is on high alert for brutal new Russian onslaughts following the deployment of the Oreshnik hypersonic missile in Dnipro yesterday.
The nation’s parliament has suspended its session due to the threat of a massive attack on Kyiv. The Times of Ukraine channel on Telegram has issued a stark caution that this missile could reach British soil in just 20 minutes, suggesting that the Oreshnik might be a rebranded version of the old Cold War intercontinental RS-26 Rubezh missile. “Most likely, the designation Oreshnik was invented by Putin to create the impression of new missile capabilities and intimidate the West, because there is no information about Oreshnik in the public domain,” stated Roman Svitan, a reserve colonel in the Ukrainian armed forces. “If it was Rubezh, then it has a range of 5,000 to 6,000 kilometres. It will reach London as well.” TOU also calculated that from a launch site in Russia, the Oreshnok could hit Poland in 12 minutes, Germany in 15 minutes, and Britain in 20 minutes. In another development, it was revealed that a North Korean general was injured during the Kursk airstrike carried out by British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles. This strike targeted a sanatorium under the Russian Presidential Property Management Department, which, according to Ukrainian sources, may have housed a wartime command centre. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for international intervention following the use of the formidable missile. Putin “is lying when he says that Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons is some kind of new step” he said. “According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have used such weapons “not for the first time,” he said. “The world must react to this. If it was Rubezh, then it has a range of 5,000 to 6,000 kilometres. Putin is very sensitive to this.”
