Russian President Vladamir Putin has made a series of threats that make it clear he’s not afraid to use nuclear weapons but there could be clear signs before he goes ahead If the day comes when Vladimir Putin decides to launch a nuclear attack on the West, there will be two very clear signs it’s coming.

In his most recent threats, the Russian President warned that his country would use nuclear weapons if it is attacked with conventional arms by Ukraine, particularly if supported by a Western nuclear power in the process. Vladimir Putin announced days ago, on September 25, that Moscow’s nuclear doctrine will be adjusted to allow for this and to discourage further military aid. He said such an attack from Ukraine and the West would be treated as a “joint attack” and nuclear retaliation would be the response. Putin’s ally and leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has also threatened the West with a nuclear warning. He said World War 3 would be triggered if Nato advanced into his country, despite the country not having nuclear weapons of its own. While there is understandable concern Putin could resort to a nuclear strike on Europe at any given moment, there will be two very clear signs warning the West before this would ever happen, reports the Spectator.

It says nuclear weapon use remains unlikely, at least for now, because lots of family members of Russian oligarchs continue to reside in European capital cities that could be impacted.

In addition, tactical nuclear warheads would likely be moving from storage sights to bases beforehand to allow time between a decision to launch a nuclear attack and following through with it. It’s believed Russia would start parading its nuclear-armed missiles to increase pressure on Western supporters of Ukraine to stop their assistance. It would likely do this long before the war escalates any further.
