IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari had a message for Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Friday, after the IDF attacked targets in Syria in retaliation for a UAV launch towards Eilat.

“We attacked a terrorist organization that launched an unmanned aircraft into our territory. This is the same aircraft that hit the school in Eilat. We will continue and respond decisively to any target of any terrorist organization,” Hagari said in a press briefing.

“Syria is a sovereign country and the Syrian regime is responsible for any action that takes place on its territory,” he added.

The IDF said early Friday morning that it struck the organization in Syria that carried out the launch of a UAV toward Eilat on Thursday, which hit a school in the city.

An explosion was heard on Thursday afternoon in the yard of the Tse’elim School in Eilat. The IDF confirmed that the explosion was a result of a drone that hit a building.
