Storm Bernard is sweeping tomorrow (Monday, October 23) – and will bring the first of 13 straight days of rain until after Halloween.
The storm, named by Portugal, is set to arrive from the continent to drench the South then North.
It is one of four more Atlantic storms forecast this week following Storm Babet and is set to bring another four inches of rain with 60mph gales worsening Britain’s most widespread floods for years.
Further tempests are due on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, with rain bursts on days in-between.
The torments are not yet expected to be named by the Met Office, but they will bring heavy rain, gusty winds at times and more flood risks.
