The 68th Jerusalem March was held in the middle of the city on Wednesday afternoon, and it’s a popular event for locals. It started out as a march by Israeli soldiers in 1955, but was scaled back to one day in 1974 and then into a parade.
It’s been held every year since 1980, with the exception of two years when it was canceled due to the Covid pandemic. It’s a great way to show your support for Israel, with thousands of people walking the streets with flags from different nations and signs.
Kids can often be seen collecting the flags that are given out. It’s a key part of the week-long celebration of the Feast Of Tabernacles.
