An Israeli citizen was taken into custody near the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday morning after trying to bring a sheep as a sacrifice to the Temple Mount. The suspect is a religious leader from the Chozrim l’Har movement, who are against the idea of giving up the Temple Mount to foreigners. They were stopped by police when they were on their way to the Mount.
Following the suspect’s arrest, the Chozrim L’Har movement warned that “there is no more room for Muslim rule on the Temple Mount.”
The religious group said it was time to start building a third Jewish temple and to start offering sacrifices again. They also warned the government and Arabs that they were playing with the wrong generations. They said that sacrifices would start again soon and that the Temple Mount would be built.
