‘What the world is missing today is hope. I see more fear than anytime in my business career.’ — Larry Fink
Larry Fink, chairman and CEO of BlackRock, said that while he’s optimistic about the future, there’s a lack of hope right now. He said that the biggest issue facing the world is a lack of hope, and if we don’t provide that hope, it can lead to recessions.
Fink also said that he doesn’t think the US is headed for a recession anytime soon, but that it could happen by 2025. “Right now, when we’re investing in China, when savings rates are going down and people are spending more, that’s a sign of hope,” he said. “What’s happening in China right now is a good example of fear.”
