The number of kids going missing and runaway in Ohio in 2023 is way higher than other states, and it’s causing a lot of panic for parents and police.
The Cleveland area has had over 45 kids reported missing since September 1, and since the beginning of the year, there have been 1,072. Most of the kids have since come home, but police say that many of them are just running away and will probably turn up again.
In 2022, Ohio had almost twice as many runaways as other states with populations between 10 and 12 million people.
