Musk’s Neuralink project is merging brain cells with AI, but one doctor is questioning if this is a moral thing to do, since it could interfere with God’s design.
On Tuesday, Musk was given the green light to start a six-year human clinical trial, and is interested in people with paralysis and motor neuron disease, according to Popular Science. Musk has said that his interface will let people with paralysis use a smartphone faster than someone using their thumbs, but it’s been met with a lot of criticism, especially because of the fate of the animals he used as test subjects.
Musk’s goal is for people with paralysis to be able to control computers with their thoughts using a chip in their brain, but one doctor thinks this could be too much.
