With Donald Trump facing a possible conviction in any of his criminal trials and the possibility of him losing again as the GOP nominee in 2024, law enforcement is getting more and more concerned about political violence.
The New York Times reports that they’re worried about riots like the one that happened on Jan. 6th, 2021, and even random domestic violence attacks by so-called “lone wolves” who want the same “retribution” the former president promised.
The report goes on to say that investigators and judges involved in the former President’s four criminal trials have been given 24-hour protection, but law enforcement officials are worried that these threats could turn into random violence, not to mention what will happen if he loses in 2024.
